Bonnie J. Dankers

January 29, 1943 – October 11, 2015

Bonnie J. Dankers, 72, of Eglon, Wash, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, October 11, 2015, following a lengthy and courageous battle with diabetes and end-stage renal disease.

Bonnie was born on January 29, 1943, in Seattle to DuWayne and June Sheka. She graduated from Lincoln High School of Seattle in 1961. Bonnie married John Dankers August 2, 1963, in Seattle. Throughout her life, Bonnie enjoyed family, had a fondness for her pet cats and dogs, and pursued numerous hobbies including canning, gardening, picking berries, and walking with neighbors and friends. Bonnie overcame a variety of chronic health obstacles over several years while living a fulfilling and Christ-inspired life celebrating family and friends.

Bonnie is survived by her husband, John, as well as her two adult children — son, Todd, his wife Tamara, grand-son Nathan, and grand-daughters Riley and Mackenzie of Westminster, Colo.; and daughter, Lorie, her husband, Jeff Johnson, and grand-daughter, Bridget Johnson of Bellevue, Wash.

Bonnie also leaves behind a community of close friends from the Eglon-Kingston area and Bayside Community Church. A memorial service is planned for October 22, 2015, at 1:30 pm at Bayside Community Church in Kingston.
