Bruce Jeffcoat, 68

Bruce Jeffcoat of Poulsbo died July 29, 2007 in Poulsbo. He was 68.

Jeffcoat was born to John Orville Jeffcoat and Raleigh Corbin Jeffcoat in Montgomery, Ala.

He worked rose to the position of Chief Warrant Officer in the U.S. Navy, retiring in 1977. He then worked for NASA tracking satellites in Alaska.

Jeffcoat enjoyed sailing and antique cars. He was a member of the Bainbridge Yacht Club, Puget Sound Early Birds Classic Thunderbird Club and the Agate Pass Sail and Power Squadron.

Jeffcoat is survived by his daughter Denise (Barry) Jeffcoat Bridges; his sisters Peggy Jeffcoat Watson and Martha Jeffcoat Wood; and grandchildren Benjamin Wade Bridges, Thomas Edward Bridges, Ansley Engram Bridges and Camella Grace Bridges.

Jeffcoat was preceded in death by his brother Samuel Joseph Jeffcoat.

Arrangements are being handled by Cook Family Funeral Home.

Services were held on Aug. 4 at Grace Episcopal Church and the Seabold Cemetery on Bainbridge Island.
