Bruce was born and raised in California. He served in the Korean War. After being honorably discharged, he got a degree in Engineering. Moved to Seattle and worked for Boeing in the Marine division for 30 years until he retired. At Boeing he worked on the Navy Hydrofoils, then for the Jet Foil program, eventually becoming a Captain of the vessels and training people overseas to man the boats sold to them.
Bruce loved building things including several pieces of furniture, a windmill, and a 24 foot, prototype, berglass Jet Foil from a design created by him and Dale Calkins (deceased). Bruce was in the process of testing it when he became ill. A lover of railroads, Bruce especially liked the steam engine locomotives and he and his wife, Nancy, took many trips on them. He also loved the sun and would go anyplace to enjoy the sunshine.
Being around family and close friends was important to him and playing with his cats.
Bruce spent the last two months of his life in the hospital then in Martha and Mary recovering from a fall. His nal wish was to be at home. Preceding him in death were his parents, Bill and Esther Bryant, and a brother, Jack.
