C. William “Bill” Oliver of Poulsbo died June 6. He was 93.
Oliver was born in Avon, Mass. on Sept. 6, 1909.
He married Hazel T. (Littlefield) Oliver in Sanford, Maine.
Oliver started his career at the age of 15 as an office-boy with Limerick Mills in Limerick, Maine. He later worked as a Superintendent of Manufacturing, for a number of large textile mills in New England. He was instrumental in the relocation of a Arms Textile to the Southeastern United States.
He retired to Satellite Beach, Fla. in 1971, where he remained for 23 years. For the last nine years, he lived with his son’s family in Poulsbo
Oliver was a member of St. Anthony’s Episcopal Church in Silverdale.
Oliver is survived by his son David E. (Phyllis) Oliver of Poulsbo; daughters Lela E. (Charles Post) Scheick of Bedford Mass. and Beverly E. (Ira) Hartwell North Olmsted, Ohio ; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Hazel T. (Littlefield) Oliver.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. June 13 at St. Anthony’s Episcopal Church in Silverdale.
