Rebekah Marie Uhtoff, 40, was born in Salt Lake City on Jan. 26, 1976 and grew up in Bremerton.

She received the Girl Scout Gold Award and was a 1994 OHS graduate. She was a 2001 Washington State University graduate with a bachelor’s in material science and engineering. Rebekah married Jason on Aug. 4, 2001.

Rebekah worked as a failure analysis engineer at Naval Undersea Warfare Center Keyport for 15 years. She was co-leader of Kitsap Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus Association and vice president and design chair for Bremerton Beyond Accessible.

Survivors include husband Jason, sons Gabriel and Jacob, parents Don and Vicki Taylor, sister Jennifer Miller and brother Robert Taylor.

Services were held Jan. 8, at Sylvan Way Baptist Church, Bremerton.
