Charles D. Yost died Nov. 10, 2006, in Bremerton. The Bremerton resident was 77.
Mr. Yost was born on March 27, 1929, to Dana and Olive (Brown) Yost in Boise, Idaho. On Jan. 24, 1953, he married Eva M. Vanderzanden in Forest Grove, Ore.
Mr. Yost worked for 30 years as a civil servant where he was a pipe fitter and a planner/estimator at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Keyport. He retired in 1974. He was a member of the Old Time Fiddlers, Masonic Lodge No. 260, Luthiers and the Kitsap Mineral and Gem Society.
He was an active reader and musician who enjoyed carving wood and ivory, gemology, custom guitar building and bowling.
Mr. Yost is survived by his wife of the family home in Bremerton; sons Dana Lee (Christina) Yost of Port Orchard and Edward F. (Mary) Yost of Ramsey, Minn.; daughter Brenda Tost of East Wenatchee, Wash.; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Lee.
There is no formal service scheduled. Private ennichement at Kane Cemetery on Bainbridge Island. Arrangements by Lewis Funeral Chapel.
