Daisy Viola Hanley

Daisy Viola Hanley died May 16, on Bainbridge Island. Born in Finland in 1926, she went to Brooklyn after World War II, where she worked as a physical therapist until she married George Hanley.

The Hanleys settled in Los Angeles. Upon her husband’s death in 1995, she relocated to Poulsbo.

She was preceded in death by her husband and sisters Margit and Rangvald.

Hanley is survived by her daughter Robin of Bainbridge Island; her son Timothy; daughter-in-law Cindy of Los Angeles; grandchildren Alex, Amanda, Kelsey and Dean; and nieces, nephews and grand nieces.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in Hanley’s name for large print books to Kitsap Regional Library Foundation, 1301 Sylvan Way Bremerton, WA 98310.
