On Saturday, September 16th, David Quincy Allen, a devoted husband and loving father, passed away. He was born in San Diego to R. Keith Allen and Malvena Evenson Allen in 1955.
He graduated fromSheldon High School, Eugene, OR, in 1973. He attended California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo and earned a degree in electrical engineering.
Heworked for Martin Marietta,which became Lockheed Martin. He was the power guy for many satellites.
He is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his loving children, Caitlin, Colin, and Nicholas; his wonderful grandchildren, Elijah and Evelyn; his siblings, Chris, Mark, and Roger; and former spouse Erin.
He had a great smile that lit up his whole face and made you feel seen and welcome. David was a passionate cook, making dinner from scratch every night. He also loved building and creating with wood, doing most of the work on both of his home remodels. He insisted on doing all the electrical wiring himself. He built a second home, David’s Folly, from the foundation up.
