David J. Sagdahl died July 1 from esophageal cancer. He was 67.

He was born in Ballard March 8, 1943, to John H. Sagdahl and Helen (Andersen) Sagdahl of Poulsbo. He graduated from North Kitsap High in 1961, went to Olympic College, and worked for the Washington Department of Transportation for 29 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, John Sagdahl.

He is survived by his mother, Helen Sagdahl, wife of 46 years, Kathy (Bevers) Sagdahl; daughter Kimberly (Chuck) Senn, of Ollala; son Ray (Kristal) Sagdahl of Indianola; grandchildren Max, Mason and Mitchell Sagdahl; brother Paul (Mickey) Sagdahl of Sammamish; sister Nancy (Richard) Sleeper of Arizona; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
