Doris Jean Price Meek died Jan. 25 while vacationing in Hawaii. She was 79.

Meek was born Nov. 5, 1930, to Sidney and Edna Price in Seattle and graduated from Queen Anne High in 1949. She married LeRoy Meek in 1950 in Seattle.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband, and daughter Lynda.

She is survived by her two sisters: Betty Arend and Sharon Nichols (Bob), and her best friend Nancy Johnston; children: Tom Meek (Jeannie), Bob Meek (Cheryl), Ken Meek (Paige), Sharron Milask (Larry); eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

The memorial will be at noon Feb. 13 at the United Church of Christ, 18732 Division Ave. NE, Suquamish.
