Dorothy M. Rainey, 83

Dorothy Marie Rainey of Keyport died Aug. 9, 2004 in Keyport. She was 83.

Rainey was born to Henry J. and Ethel (Hoke) Will on Feb. 26, 1921 in Ranger, Texas.

She graduated from Libertyville Township High School in Libertyville, Ill. and attended Lake Forest College in Lake Forest, Ill. She also attended Olympic College in Bremerton.

Rainey worked as an accountant technician at the Naval Supply Center in Bremerton, retiring in 1975.

She resided in Kitsap County for the past 42 years and enjoyed macrame, crocheting, reading, gardening and the companionship of her daughter and grandson.

Rainey is survived by her daughter Patrice Y. (Norton) Von Liski of Keyport; brothers Henry Will of Round Lake Beach, Ill. and Jerome Will of Forestville, Wis.; sisters Shirley Barnett of Shelton and Mary Louise Penny of Carrolton, Texas; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter Mary Ann Ford and sister Marjorie Lucas.

There will be no services.
