Dorothy Laverne (Wahlquist) Sardarov died Sept. 6 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 83 years old.

Sardarov was born in Minneapolis to Halgar (Harry) Wahlquist and Helen (Anderson) Wahlquist on Dec. 26, 1926. She had two siblings: Gordon Wahlquist and Betty (Wahlquist) Salazar.

She married Edward Sardarov, who died in 1977.

She loved gardening in her yard, enjoying nature, walking the beach, crocheting, league bowling, fishing, music and taking care of her cats.

Sardarov is survived by her four children: Sandra Jensen and husband Robert Jensen, Kathy Bothe, Trudy Christen, and son Rich Sardarov; nine grandchildren: Michael, Christine, Robert, Michael, Jason, David, Steven, Richard, and Carrie; and 15 great-grandchildren.
