Eleanor “Lee” Gloria (Rivera) Bunch-Treshow
March 7, 1933 — Nov. 27, 2015
Survived and deeply loved by her children, Billy Bunch, Susan Bunch, Nancy (Bunch) Callahan and Judy (Bunch) Patton; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews who loved her and will miss her dearly.
Preceded in death by her daughter, Mary; father, Robert Rivera Sr.; mother, Bertha (De Leon) Rivera; brother, Robert Rivera Jr.; and granddaughter, Christine Bunch.
Lee’s favorite hobbies were thrift-store shopping any chance she got, and making quilts for her grandchildren and others. She was a very patriotic woman married to a long-time military man. Her home was always open to sailors, even from different countries, that had nowhere to go for the holidays. She and her friend, Terry, always made sure sailors knew there was an open invitation for them for Thanksgiving dinner.
She was a talented artist and storyteller. Most of all, she loved going to parades.
Lee raised four children on her own while attending night college. She worked for UCSD medical library until she retired.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Kitsap Hospice.
