Elizabeth C. McCardle, 93
Elizabeth C. McCardle of Lofall died Aug. 27, 2004 in Poulsbo. She was 93.
McCardle was born to Ralph T. and Ida Janette (Hannah) Cain in Newman Grove, Neb. on Feb. 3, 1911.
She married her first husband Cecil E. Phillips in 1931 in Valentine, Neb. Her second husband was Clarence E. Estes and her third husband was Edward J. McCardle.
She graduated from Fremont High School in Fremont, Neb. in 1929 and taught in a one-room, sod schoolhouse in Cherry County, Neb. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and rock collecting.
McCardle is survived by her daughter Janice M. Lofall; sisters Frances L. Williams of Castro Valley, Calif. and Carol H. Knecht of Red Bluff, Calif.; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands Cecil E. Phillips, Clarence E. Estes and Edward J. McCardle and brothers Harlan E. Cain and Millard R. Cain.
At her request, no services were held.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
