Ellen Jean Landaker, 83

Ellen Jean Landaker of Kingston died March 20, 2004 on Bainbridge Island. She was 83.

She was born Feb. 11, 1921 to Bruce and Muriel (Shannon) Cass in Everett, Mich.

After graduating from Everett High School, she married George Henry “Bus” Landaker. They moved to Portland in 1943. Landaker was a homemaker and ceramist. She raised four children and many of her grandchildren.

In 2000, she moved to the Kingston area to be near two of her daughters.

She is survived by her son Lester Bruce “Butch” Landaker of North Plains, Ore.; daughters Brenda Joyce Townsend of Poulsbo, Sally Louise Sullivan of Kingston and Nancy Lee Lind of Boring, Ore.; brothers Richard Cass, Harold Cass, Paul Cass and Dwayne Cass all of Everett, Mich.; sisters Donna Scroggins of Portland, Ore. and Dorothy Tryon of Everett, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

A private family service will be held at Willamette National Cemetery.
