Ellen Ann Steinbrink died March 12, 2007, after a nine-year battle with cancer. The Silverdale resident was 58.
Mrs. Steinbrink was born on May 29, 1948, in Comox, British Columbia to Harry and Mildred (McCallum) Emmerson. She married Daniel P. Steinbrink on Feb. 27, 1970, in Upper Marlboro, Md.
Mrs. Steinbrink was an office manager at American Federation of Government Employees Local 48 in Bremerton for 10 years. She also worked at the Kitsap Sun and ARC of Kitsap County and she was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Bremerton Elks Lodge and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 239 Women’s Auxiliary.
She enjoyed painting, quilting, Bingo, knitting and she loved her dog Skeeter.
Survivors include her husband; son Mike (Lisa) Steinbrink of Emerado, N.D.; daughter Valerie (Chris) Bertrand of Highgate Springs, Vt.; brothers Robert (Cindy) Emmerson of Vancouver and Rupert (Helen) Emmerson of Comox, British Columbia; grandchildren Camden Bertrand, Ethan Steinbrink, Samantha Scott and Casey Steinbrink.
Burial is scheduled for 10:45 a.m. Monday, March 19, at Tahoma National Cemetery, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. at Lewis Funeral Chapel.
