Elmer LeRoy Lindahl (Ikerd) died Feb. 24 on his homestead. He was 85.

Lindahl was born March 13, 1923 in Poulsbo to Louise Halverson and Roy Elmer Ikerd.

Lindahl entered the military June 5, 1943 and was honorably discharged on Jan. 3, 1946. He served on the USS Enterprise & Carrier Aircraft Service Unit 7. He retired from Ma Bell (Pacific Northwest Bell) in Bremerton.

He leaves his wife Phyllis Lindahl and six children: Leanne Lake, Randy Lindahl, Renee Higgins, Connie Richards, Dave Lindahl and Gayle Thomas.

A memorial service will be at 12:30 p.m. March 3 at Vinland Lutheran Church.
