Eric Robert Schreck of Silverdale, a student at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2006, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, Mass. He was 23.

Mr. Schreck was born March 4, 1983, in Calais, Maine, to Marlene (Selwood) Mitchell and the late Peter J. Schreck. He graduated from Central Kitsap High School in 2001 and started attending MCLA in 2002. He spent part of 2005 enrolled in the Disney College Program.

Mr. Schreck was a talented dancer whose passion was theater and dance. He enjoyed being on stage, choreographing and teaching children hip-hop dance.

A memorial service was conducted Oct. 20 at Crossroads Neighborhood Church.

Mr. Schreck is survived by his mother; stepfather Michael Mitchell of Silverdale; sisters Shalene Mitchell of Silverdale and Emilija and Beth Schreck, both of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass.; brother Timothy Schreck of Martha’s Vineyard; grandparents Joseph and Kathleen Schreck of Belgrade Lakes, Maine, and Paul and Joyce Weber of Eastport, Maine; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
