Ervin E. Bauer, 88
Ervin E. Bauer of Poulsbo died Jan. 9, 2008 in Bremerton. He was 88.
Bauer was born to Carl and Emma (Kison) Bauer in Spokane on Nov. 23, 1919.
He married Virginia Bittlingmeyer on May 29, 1941 in Olympia.
Bauer owned and operated the D&E Service Station in Olympia, then entered the civil service at Bangor, retiring after 28 years. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, and was honorably discharged after three and a half years.
He enjoyed traveling, gardening and helping his sons with building projects.
Bauer is survived by his sons George (Linda) Bauer and Ronald (Sarah) Bauer; brother Herbert Bauer of Kent; grandchildren Raymond Bauer and Denise (Darrell) Walker; and great-grandchildren Brian, Rachael, Kylee and Chayton.
Bauer was preceded in death by his wife Virginia.
Visitation will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Jan. 19 at Poulsbo Mortuary. At his request, no services will be held.
