Floyd V. Lovell, 74
Floyd Vail Lovell died July 19, 2005. He was 74.
Lovell was born to William Justin and Marla Vail on March 23, 1931 in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
He and his family have lived on Bainbridge Island for 38 years. Throughout his life, Lovell had worked as a mechanical engineer and was a member of the American Society of Military Engineers (ASME).
He was also a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and being with his family.
Lovell is survived by his wife Marla Vail of Bainbridge Island; sons Gregory Vail of Bozeman, Mont., and Mark (Mary) Vail of Poulsbo; brother Rex Vail of Rochester, New York; sister Caroline Rodeck of Port Townsend; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. July 23 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints-Bainbridge Island Ward building on Madison Avenue.
Interment will take place at Kane Cemetery.
