Frank Lavalsit, Jr. of Hansville died Feb. 17, 2007 in Bremerton. He was 72.
Lavalsit was born to Frank and Catherine (Becrra) Lavalsit in Sacramento, Calif. on Aug. 30, 1934.
He married Doris Owen in Sacramento, Calif. on Dec. 5, 1951.
He graduated from Sacramento High School in Sacramento, Calif. and Sacramento State University in Sacramento, Calif. with a masters in business administration.
Lavalsit served in the U.S. Navy and was an engineer manager at Aerojet General Corp., where he built the electrical system for the Gemini, the first shuttle that went to space.
He enjoyed sailing, golfing and spending time with family. He was also a member of Yacht Harbors.
Lavalsit is survived by his wife Doris Lavalsit of Hansville; sons Frank (Sean) Lavalsit III of Bremerton, Mark Lavalsit and Matthew Lavalsit of Kingston and Gregory Lavalsit of Kauai, Hawaii; daughter Faustina (James Myles) Lavalsit of Silverdale; brother John (Sharman) Lavalsit of Sacramento, Calif.; sister Loretta Callahan of Marina, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held.
