Gary Kanekkeberg

Robert Gary Kanekkeberg of Port Orchard passed away suddenly at his home on April 15. He was 80.

Gary is survived by his loving wife and soul mate of 60 years, Mary Louise Edwards Kanekkeberg. He also is survived by son Robert Gary Kanekkeberg Jr. (Brenda), daughters Debra Lynne (Paul Prince) and Danel Loreen (Richard Hoidel), sister Linda Eagen, 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Stanley Kanekkeberg and Hulda Viola (Johnson) and brother Eddie Kanekkeberg.

Gary was a hardworking fisherman, plumber, businessman and artist. He served his country, lived his life, loved his friends and cherished his family.

A celebration of life will be at Christian Life Center in Port Orchard at 2 p.m. on May 13.
