Hap vanValer, 95
Hap vanValer of Kingston died May 5, 2007. He was 95.
Van Valer was born to Andrew and Birdie (Collins) vanValer in San Jose, Calif. on Oct. 15, 1911.
He attended high school in California.
He served in the Navy during World War II and worked as a restaurant owner in California. He also worked for Aerospace General.
He enjoyed Arabian horses, horse training and teaching children to ride horses.
VanValer is survived by his sisters Ruth Owen and Alice Starkie both of California; and daughter-in-law Cindy vanValer of Alaska.
VanValer was preceded in death by his son Voughn vanValer and many brothers and sisters.
