Helen D. Willett, 83
Helen Dytert Willett died July 16, 2006 in Poulsbo. She was 83.
She was born Sept. 10, 1922 in Chicago, Ill. to Stanley and Irene (Tanner) Dytert.
Her family spent 16 years in Omaha, Neb. before moving to Minneapolis, Minn. where she graduated from the University of Minnesota in Journalism in June 1944.
She married Donald (Dan) S. Willett on Dec. 23, 1944.
In June 1954, they moved to the Magnolia area of Seattle. Willett and her husband owned and operated the family business, D.S. Willett, Inc., Hearing Instruments in Seattle for 29 years.
In 1979, they moved to Poulsbo. Willett was a member of Tri-Delta and served as financial advisor for the western region. She was an active member in her church group, enjoyed needlework, scouting and her children’s activities. She also enjoyed hiking, skiing, camping, reading, traveling, golf, and family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Dan Willett; sons Bruce (Gaylen) and John; daughter Jody (Jeff) Graham; sister Joann Irvine; three grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
