Helen J. Maher passed away on July 20, 2021. She was born on July 26, 1927 in San Francisco, CA, to John K. and Brigid A. Bray, the youngest of 6 children. Helen served as a nurse for two decades at St. Mary’s Hospital in San Francisco and in private practice. She was married to Col. John W. Maher, USAR and made home in Clyde Hill, WA and Bainbridge Island, WA. She was the beloved mother of Cdr. Charles H. Maher, USN and Brigid A. Maher (spouse Erik Vadnais), grandmother of Felippe, Maeve, Stanley, and Joe. Her funeral mass was held at St Mary of the Bay in Warren, RI and she will be interred at Arlington National Cemetery with her husband. www.mkds.com
