Irene Neseth died Nov. 24, 2007, at Harrison Medical Center in Bremerton. The Silverdale resident was 92.

She was born on Nov. 3, 1915, in Thief River Falls, Minn. to Joseph and Emma (Lasseson) Neseth. She attended and graduated from Augsburg College in Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in education/English in 1941.

Ms. Neseth worked as a teacher in the Central Kitsap School District until she retired in 1972. She was a faithful and active member of Silverdale Lutheran Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir.

She enjoyed music, sewing, knitting, crocheting, handcrafts, her cats and writing.

She is survived by her brother, Donald Neseth of Illinois. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, at Silverdale Lutheran Church. Inurnment will take place at Island Lake Cemetery.
