James F. Kile died June 16 at his home in Hansville. He was 85.
Kile was born to William B Kile and Amanda Fortier Kileon Feb. 1, 1925, in Yakima.
Following high school, Kile entered military service in the Army Air Corp where he became an accomplished pilot of bomber aircraft by the time he was 21 years old. Kile was a lifelong member of the B.P.O. Elks for 62 years.
In 1956 he became a partner with Reuben G. Benz selling fruit from the Yakima Valley all over the world.
He is survived by his beloved wife Yolanda; six children: Jim, Susan, Jane, Kathy, Alvera and Clayton; grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews, along with sister, Francis Ayling.
A memorial service was held June 22.
