KINGSTON — James (Jim) Michael Nelson passed away Nov. 5 at home.
He was 72.
Jim worked for 17 years in Africa for the U.S. State Department and for 10 years for United Way of King County. He held many part-time jobs after retiring, including his last job at Kingston Albertson’s Fuel Center.
Jim married the love of his life, Carole, in 1981. They shared many adventures together while traveling to New Zealand, Scotland, England, Australia, Tahiti, Fiji and Hawaii. There were 10 summers spent as camp hosts for State Parks. Jim loved to travel and meet people on the road. Jim and Carole had 38 wonderful years together.
Jim is survived by his wife, Carole Ann (Thomsen) Nelson; niece, Mistelle (Jim) Wolfer and grandnieces Paige and Macey; grandniece, Alicia (Geoff) Lott and great-grandnephews, Graham and Griffin.
