James L. Withrow, 59

Chimacum resident James L. Withrow died Nov. 18, 2003 in Mohave Valley, Ariz. He was 59.

Withrow was born to Arnie and Patricia (Lawrence) Withrow in Bremerton on May 8, 1944.

He married Evelyn Hansen on Feb. 25, 1972 in Bremerton.

Withrow attended South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard.

He was a member of the U.S. Army between October 1961-63, achieving the rank of E-4.

Upon his retirement in 1994, he was a framer for a construction company.

He loved fishing and hunting and liked to travel to Arizona every winter. He loved to spend time with his family and was a member of the Silverdale VFW Post #4992.

Withrow is survived by his wife Evelyn (Hansen) Withrow of Mohave Valley, Ariz., and Chimacum; son Larry (Valerie) White of Kingston; daughters Jackie Withrow of Hawaii, Jamie Galdonez of Hawaii and Becky Forrester of Kingston; brother David Withrow of California; sister Judy Craig of Belfair; mother Patricia Withrow of Belfair; 13 grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 24 at The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove in Poulsbo. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Nov. 25 at The Stone Chapel.

An inurnment will take place at Mountain View Cemetery in Silverdale.
