James LaVelle Rowley, 69
James LaVelle Rowley of Silverdale died April 11 due to complications of a heart attack. He was 69.
Rowley was born to Edwin and Ruth (Brown) Rowley in Redwood City, Calif., Sept. 3, 1938.
Rowley graduated from San Mateo High School in 1957.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962 as an E5. He also worked as an electrician for 25 years in Oakland, Calif., and retired in 1991.
During his career he worked as an electrical inspector for the City of Oakland and taught electrical theory at Anthony Schools.
Rowley enjoyed motorcycle riding, camping, wood working and spending time with his family.
Rowley is survived by his sons, Fred Rowley of Chippewa Falls, Wis., Mark Rowley (Marilyn) of Oakley, Calif., Robert Rowley (Cloi) of McCloud, Calif., former wife, Helen Rowley; sister, Marlene Kennedy (Doran) of Keyport; grandchildren, James, Kaitlyn, Kendall, Christopher, Jaymes, Thomas and a sister-in-law, Lorena Teames of Canada.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Ruth, his sister Katheryn Lovell, brother-in-law Joseph Lovell, and half-brother Richard Teames.
