Janet M. Bahr, 78
Janet M. Bahr of Poulsbo died July 4 at Hospice Care Center in Bremerton. She was 78.
She was born in Albuquerque, N.M. on March 5, 1930. She earned a bachelor’s degree at St. Mary’s, graduating in 1951, and worked in Virginia as a teacher at Three Bear School.
Later she became the owner and operator, as a federal employee at both the Navy annex and the Corps of Army Engineers and later as an auxiliary police officer.
Bahr was a member of Seabold United Methodist Church and a toastmistress. She enjoyed world travel and visited all of the continents. She enjoyed acting and writing.
Bahr was preceded in death by her husband Clarence Leo “Sonny” Bahr Jr. and son Clarence Leo Bahr III.
She is survived by son John Larabee of Poulsbo; daughters Faith Ann Breeden of Staffordshire, Va., Candace Ann Weitz of Warrenton, Va.; 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Seabold United Methodist Church at a later date. Burial will take place at Mount Comfort Cemetery in Virginia.
