Janet M. Daniel, 67
Janet M. Daniel of Kingston died Aug. 29, 2004. She was 67.
She was born to Leo and Eva (Wright) Sortor on Jan. 15, 1937 in Monroe, Mich.
She married Richard “Dick” Daniel in 1955.
Daniel graduated from Roosevelt High School in Seattle in 1955.
Daniel and her husband moved to Kingston in 1960. She enjoyed traveling and quilting and was a published photographer. She was an active member in the Kitsap Quilters Guild and a Christian.
Daniel is survived by her husband Richard Daniel; daughters Lauri Jorgensen of Yakima and Gayla Massey of Poulsbo; son Steve Daniel of Pleasanton, Calif.; mother Eva Sortor of Poulsbo; brother Gayln Sortor of Yuma, Ariz.; sister Bev Leahy of Albany, Ore.; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father Leo Sortor and brother Neil Sortor.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Sept. 4 at Gordon Elementary School in Kingston. Internment will be at the Eglon Community Cemetery.
