Jeanine Moriarty, 62, of Poulsbo, died after a courageous battle with cancer March 19 at her home. Moriarty was born Dec. 25, 1946 in Bremerton to Harold and Merleene Davis. She graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1965 and married John “Jack” Moriarty in Port Orchard on Feb. 19, 1966. Moriarty was a devoted homemaker and for a short time enjoyed working as a bartender. Some of her favorite hobbies included quilting, gardening, crafts, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Davis, brother, Jerry, and son, Ronald Moriarty. Surviving are her loving husband Jack of Poulsbo, mother Merleene Davis of Poulsbo, daughter Shelly Potter (George) of Orting, three grandchildren, Trista Tallman, Cassandra Potter, Tomas Moriarty, and many close friends. At her request there will be no services. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, PO Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383.
