Jeff was born in Seattle, Washington, to his parents Harry and Helen McPherson. He attended Orchard Heights Elementary, Marcus Whitman Junior High and South Kitsap High School and enjoyed his school days immensely.

He worked as a young man on his parents’ farm- raising at one time 18 cattle and assisted in the delivery of a calf during a bitter cold January snowstorm. Later he became a paperboy, and after that for the Washington State Ferry system, Foss Maritime Company, and MSC- Military Sealift Command. He traveled the world during his career and had many wonderful sea stories for all that would listen. Always considered himself a sailor and the sea was his true home.

Jeff was a kind and generous man and a friend to many that will miss his smiles very much. He is survived by his sons Connor and Cameron McPherson and a multitude of beloved friends.

A graveside ceremony will take place on June 12th at 1:00 PM at Fraola Cemetery in Olalla and a gathering after that at his favorite spot- China West in Port Orchard.
