It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jim Piatt Jr. on June 2nd, 2022.
Jim was born in Bremerton, WA and raised in Port Orchard by his loving parents Jim and Marcy Piatt. He leaves behind his parents and his sister, Debbie Bair and her husband Lewis, a nephew Alex Bair and niece Vicki Bair, all of West Sacramento, CA and many good friends.
Jim graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, WA 1981 and from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma WA in 1985 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. During the summers between college terms, he traveled to Alaska and was a “Skiff Man” on purse seiners out of Kodiak. After college he worked for national and local companies in sales and was awarded the number one sales associate several times. While working for a water ski manufacturer he was awarded a patent for a back brace ski vest that he developed.
Jim was an expert snow skier, expert motorcycle rider both on dirt bikes and road bikes winning several trophies. He also competed in go-carts and won there as well. He excelled in golf and just about any other competition he entered.
He traveled with his family to many states and countries in Europe plus traveled for work to other states. He settled down in Folsom, CA where he lived for more than 30 years before passing away.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 6, 2022 at 11 AM at Trinity Baptist Church, 1500 Park Blvd., West Sacramento CA 95691. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Computers for Kids at c4kca.org.
