John Belgarde

February 5, 1933 – March 8, 2016

John Belgarde died March 8, 2016 with his wife Nancy and children Dan, Terry and Leanne at his side.

John was born on Feb. 5, 1933 in Missoula, Montana to his mother, Clara. After making his way to Washington, he met Nancy Jo Pettit and they wed April 4, 1953 in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. John was a graduate of North Kitsap High School and later served in the National Guard 41st Infantry Division at Fort Lewis.

John held many jobs, including at Port Gamble mill, Pope & Talbot, Falers Garage, and as a government employee. He was also an amazing gardener and landscaper. His most loved and recognized work was that of the North Kitsap Little League baseball fields, where he maintained the beautiful fields and where a field is named after him. In his spare time, John also loved woodworking and making things.

Our dad was a proud man, very hard working, and put his family first. He has 33 grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
