John Sagdahl, 89
John Harold Sagdahl of Poulsbo died March 10, 2007 in Poulsbo. He was 89.
Sagdahl was born to John O. and Hanna M. Sagdahl in Seattle on May 25, 1917.
Sagdahl married Helen A. Andersen on May 31, 1942 in Seattle.
He graduated from Ballard High School in 1936 and attended the University of Washington. He also attended Navy electronics school, Navy radar school and acoustic torpedo school.
Sagdahl served in the Navy from 1943 to 1947, receiving the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He worked as a general foreman at the Keyport Naval Torpedo Station for 30 years.
He enjoyed house building, maintenance, playing handball and vigorous exercise.
Sagdahl is survived by his wife Helen Sagdahl of Poulsbo; sons David (Kathy) Sagdahl of Poulsbo and Paul (Mickey) Sagdahl of Sammamish; daughter Nancy Sagdahl (Richard) Sleeper; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
