Josefina ‘Pinay’ E. Bundang, 72

Poulsbo resident Josefina “Pinay” E. Bundang died July 24, 2004 in Poulsbo. She was 72.

Bundang was born to Pedro and Epifania de Jesus (Angeles) Espiritu in Castillejos Zambales, Philippines on June 8, 1932.

She married Leonardo de Guzman Bundang on July 3, 1949 in Castillejos Zambales, Philippines.

Bundang owned her own bakery and grocery for more than 20 years and was a housewife.

She was a member of Iglesia ni Cristo (Church of Christ) of Bremerton and Lakewood.

Bundang enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and fishing and attended church twice a week.

She is survived by her husband Leonard de Guzman Bundang of Poulsbo; son Rolando E. (Annie) Bundang of Kingston; daughters Flordeliza B. (Pol) Sembrano of the Philippines, Rosalina B. (Fel) Ladiero of Vallejo, Calif., Teresita B. (John) Redfearn of Poulsbo, Rosa B. (Lando) Susano of the Philippines, Estrellita B. (Conrado) Besarra of Spanaway and Nannie “Connie-Joy” B. (Rob) Howe of Roy; 23 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Bundang was preceded in death by her son Alan E. Bundang.

Services will be held from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 31 and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 1 at the Lewis Funeral Chapel in Bremerton.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of The Stone Chapel at Cherry Grove Memorial Park of Poulsbo.

An inurnment will take place in the Philippines at a later date.
