Kenneth Lyle Andrews, 66

Kenneth Lyle Andrews of Poulsbo, loving father & good friend, died Sept. 5. He was 66.

Andrews, the son of Paul and Jeanette Andrews, was born in San Diego, Calif., on March 29, 1942. He married Dee Brewer in El Cajon, Calif., on September 13, 1964.

He served in the military as a Marine early on in his life. He then went to work for Pope & Talbot Lumber Mill in Port Gamble, where he worked for 25 years. After that he went back to school to work on his passion of culinary arts and photography. Andrews enjoyed auto racing and watching football. He is survived by his sons: Doug Morse, Alan Andrews-Katz (Eric) and Gary Andrews (Kris). He has three wonderful grandchildren, Brianna, Amy and Joshua; three great-grandchildren; his brother, Roger Andrews of Los Angeles; and sister Sharon Perkins of Hadlock.

Andrews was preceded in death by the love of his life Dee, his parents and his brother Dennis Andrews. A celebration of his life will be at 2 p.m. on Sept. 14 at the Flag Pavilion in Downtown Port Gamble, where he enjoyed hanging out with friends after a day at the Saw Mill.
