Lillian M. Cronin died April 27 in Oak Harbor. She was 89.
Cronin was born to Eugene F. and Elizabeth (Clancy) Cronin in Chicago, Ill. on Oct. 21, 1913.
Cronin began work for the U.S. Navy in Kodiak and Fairbanks, Alaska in 1942. She was transferred to Pier 91 in Seattle in 1945. In 1948, she began work as a legal secretary for Whitmore & Vinton law practice, where she worked for more than 30 years.
She lived in Seattle until 1951 and then moved to Indianola. She attended St. Peter’s Mission Church of Suquamish.
Cronin is survived by her brother Richard A. Cronin of Oak Harbor, sister Mary T. Behrends of Lombard, Ill. and various nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. May 3 at St. Peter’s Mission Church in Suquamish with burial to follow at Kingston Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Burley Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor.
