Linda Arkin Glickman passed away on 1/20/2024.
Born 1941 in Los Angeles, CA to Sidney (2002) and Bertha (1989) Arkin. Linda was the last of her generation having lost her brother Richard Arkin (2014) and sister Joan Kelley (2006). Her husband Dr. Stuart Glickman also recently passed (April 2023). Linda is survived by her nephew Jim (Judy) Kaplan of Bradenton, FL and their children Mattie and Zach. She is also survived by her niece Wendy Monte of Seattle, WA and her children Julia, Justin and Hope.
An avid beach and ocean lover and long time resident of Malibu, CA, Linda and Stuart moved to Bainbridge Island in 2004. She adored Bainbridge, especially while relaxing on her balcony overlooking Rich Passage and the distant Canadian Pacific Range snow capped peaks. Most importantly she was also was a devout lover of cats and her beloved Scottish Fold named Eloise (2019), who lived 20 wonderful years.
Linda was diagnosed with MS (Multiple Sclerosis) in 2010 and the disease most certainly took it’s toll on her, especially in recent years. She eventually passed away following a very short bout with cancer.
A special thank you goes out to Visiting Angels of Port Orchard for their many years of kindness and support to her. A big thank you also goes to her neighbor Dana Tenen for always looking out for her and for being so sweet.
Linda, our angel, may you rest in peace as you stroll along the Seashores of Heaven.
Arrangements entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island, WA.
