Lorna Malde, 86

Former Poulsbo resident Lorna Malde died Nov. 23, 2004. She was 86.

Malde was born to Laura Wigstead and Swen Ford in Minneapolis, Minn. on Feb. 8, 1918.

She married Harold Malde on June 8, 1936.

She graduated from Silverdale High School in 1936. She then moved to Poulsbo when she got married. She obtained her LPN license in 1960 and worked as a nurse at Harrison Memorial and at the Ebenezer Nursing Home. She moved to Phoenix, Ariz. in June 2004 to be with her family.

Malde is survived by her son Jim Malde; daughters Patty Waas and Betty Jackson; and four grandchildren.

She was buried Dec. 2 at the First Lutheran Cemetery in Poulsbo.
