Louis G. Mabe

Louis Garnet Mabe, passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2010 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, WA. He was born in Port Townsend, WA on September 9, 1933 to Garnet and Hazel Mabe. He was 77 years of age and a resident of  Suquamish, WA.

Louis retired from the U.S. Government – Keyport Torpedo Station. He was a Veteran and was a member of the Suquamish Veterans and Suquamish Elders. Lewie was so loved by many and will be missed without measure. He is survived by his wife Sandra V. Mabe, children; James, Michael and Violet Mabe, Peggy Mabe Snow, Marcus Mabe and Lois Mabe Sullivan. He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and his brother Thomas N. Mabe. Louis was preceded in death by his son Michael Mabe.

Family and friends attended the visitation’s on January 1st & 2nd at Cook Family Funeral Home, 163 Wyatt Way NE on Bainbridge Island. The Mass of Christian Burial was held on January 3, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peters Catholic Church in Suquamish, WA. Interment followed at the Suquamish Cemetery. A celebration of life followed the burial at the Suquamish Community House.
