Marc W. Christensen, 55

Marc Wayne Christensen of Poulsbo died May 28, 2007 in Michigan. He was 55.

Christensen graduated from North Kitsap High School in 1970 and attended Olympic College.

He was employed as a police officer for the Poulsbo Police Department and then moved on to his own business, an independent insurance agency.

Christensen was very active in the Keystone Kops, the Forgotten Children’s Fund, Sons of Norway Lodge No. 44 and was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Poulsbo.

He is survived by his brother Dale (Colette) of Edmonds; sister Mary Faye (Joe) Stimac of San Diego, Calif.; nephews Dennis and David Christensen of Edmonds; niece Connie Zapp of Silverdale; aunt Evelyn Ryen of Poulsbo; and five grand nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a last memorial toast to Christensen at the Sons of Norway in the Viking Room from 2-5 p.m. July 14. Memorial contributions can be made to the Sons of Norway No. 44, the First Lutheran Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.
