Marcia Allison Barker was taken to God on Sept 2, 2021.

She was a well loved mother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

Mother to Taylor Joy Barker Cunningham, sister to Michele Barker, Marlene Maes and Greg Barker. She was a long time love and partner to Andy Hobbs.

Marcia was born in Seattle at Ballard Hospital. She was the last of 4 children of Joyce and Bill Barker. She grew up in a very loving and active family. Childhood vacations were spent camping, especially at Lake Chelan.

After graduating from Ballard High School she pursued several occupations mostly in the Food Industry and Restaurant business and a few seasons on Crab and Fish processing ships in Alaska.

Her happiest moment has to be the birth of her daughter Taylor Joy. She says she named Taylor JOY because that is what she brought her, JOY.

Over the years, she was able to travel with some of us to new, fun and usually warm places. I think her favorites were the 2 trips we took to Belize, Sedona Arizona and the Cruise to the Caribbean from New Orleans.

Marcia lived with Andy for many years on Whidbey Island, finally moving to Marysville two years ago to live with his family as her health was declining.

Marcia’s quirky sense of humor could always make us laugh. She loved doing crafts of all sorts and she made beautiful and useful keepsakes for us all.

The memorial service will be held Saturday Oct 2 at 2:00 PM at Tabernacle Baptist Church
