Marguerite Rickey, who enjoyed a summer home in Poulsbo for many years, died unexpectedly in Seattle on April 8.
She was born in Alberta, Canada on April 4, 1920.
She lived for many years in West Seattle and enjoyed a summer home in Poulsbo. She was an active and passionate member of the Seattle Art Museum and a member of the board of the Seattle Asian Art Council. She traveled widely including memorable trips to Egypt, Russia, Europe and Japan.
Surviving are her sons David (Jeanne) of Mill Creek and Stephen (Janet) of Poulsbo; grandchildren Jon (Karen), Noelynn (Azael Gonzalez), Joel (Liz; three great-grandchildren and niece Carlin Larkin.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, George Burton Rickey, a retired Boeing executive, two sisters and a brother.
A private family ceremony will be held later in the month. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Seattle Asian Art Museum, 1400 E. Prospect, Seattle 98112.
