Marion Yocum, 92

Marion Yocum of Bainbridge Island died Jan. 22, 2004 in Poulsbo. She was 92.

Yocum was born to Andrew and Ann Kirkland in Stewarton, Scotland on Aug. 7, 1911.

She married Byron Yocum in 1936.

Yocum graduated from Corvallis High School in 1929.

She was a homemaker.

Yocum was a 62-year resident of Bainbridge Island and a member of the Rolling Bay Presbyterian Church on Bainbridge Island. She traveled extensively around the world and enjoyed bingo and pinochle.

Yocum is survived by her son William (Darlene) Yocum of Bremerton; daughters Gerri (Dennis) Johnson of Poulsbo and Sandra Yocum of Seattle; brother James Kirkland of Longview; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Byron Yocum; sisters Ann Kirkland and Eliza Nelson; and brother William Kirkland.
