Marjorie Stuckey

Marjorie Stuckey, 82

Hansville resident Marjorie “Peggy” Stuckey died in Bremerton on Feb. 28, 2006. She was 82.

She was born to Frank and Florence (Hughes) Carpenter on July 17, 1923 in Schell City, Mo.

Stuckey married Leslie Hix, then John Stuckey.

She went to school at Garfield High School in Seattle.

Stuckey was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Poulsbo Fraternal Order of Eagles, Hansville Solitarians, Kitsap Widows and Widowers and the Kingston Red Hat Society.

Stuckey enjoyed boating, fishing and spending winters in Yuma, Ariz. with her husband. She enjoyed time with friends and family, her cats and she crocheted baby blankets.

She is survived by her sons Norman (Lynn) Hix of Hansville and John (Joan Leach) Stuckey of Sunnyvale, Calif.; daughters Diane (Alex) McCutcheon of Seattle, Susan Thomason of Seattle and Sally (Jeff) Geibel of Shelton; brother Robert “Bud” (Virginia) Carpenter of Sequim; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life will take place at 2 p.m. April 8 at the Driftwood Key Clubhouse in Hansville.

A cremation will take place at Cherry Grove Crematory. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of The Stone Chapel.
