Marjory Fayrene “Faye” Kramer, beloved wife of Mike Kramer, died Feb. 23, in the 71st year of her life. She was born Aug. 21, 1941, in Beaver, Okla., to Alvin and Deanie Neese.
She lived in Forgan, Okla., until she graduated from Forgan High School in 1959. She was in the band throughout her school years and was very popular with teachers and students. She and her best friend, Kay Eubanks, moved to Amarillo, Texas, to attend cosmetology school. While attending school, Faye met, fell in love with and married Airman Mike Kramer. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary April 21, 2011.
Mike served his country for 20 years in Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Vietnam, Turkey, Alaska, Germany, and California. Mike was originally from the Pacific Northwest and that is where they chose to settle upon his retirement from the Air Force.
Faye was a faithful military wife living with her parents in Forgan while Mike was on assignment. She held a variety of jobs in the various places they lived and enjoyed meeting people in all walks of life. She and Mike traveled extensively in the U.S. and she enjoyed seeing Europe. One of her favorite places was Las Vegas where she enjoyed the slots and the shows.
She and Mike were active in the local classic car club, Kitsap Klassics, and they were very proud of their 1957 Chevy BelAir named Black Rose.
Faye will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of almost 52 years, her sister, Ann, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Faye was loved by those who knew her. No local memorial service is planned.
