Mary Elizabeth Waller of Poulsbo, Washington left this earth for a better place on Monday, June 21, 2021 following complications from a fall while picking flowers in her yard. She was born on October 8, 1928 to Clarence and Dorothy (Appel) Travis in Wenatchee, Washington. She graduated from Tonasket High School in Tonasket, Washington in 1946 and later attended Wenatchee Valley College, earning an LPN in 1970. She married James A Eberlein in Tonasket in 1948 and together they raised four children while she worked as an apple packer and an orchardist’s wife. She later worked an as LPN in Cashmere, Washington and Bonners Ferry, Idaho. Life eventually led her to Poulsbo where she met Jim Waller and worked in the OR Department at the Naval Hospital in Bremerton. She married Jim in 1983 and they were together for 30 years before his passing. Jim and Mary enjoyed traveling in their RV, digging clams, and entertaining friends and family with barbecues and picnics around the campfire. Mary’s remaining years were spent at her home on Thompson Pond, caring for her dog, Mika, growing flowers, playing dominos, reading up a storm, and receiving blessings from her many dear friends. She enjoyed people and made friends easily. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Jane (Travis) Brown, her daughter, Jamie (Eberlein) Osborn, and her grandson, Roger Gordon. She is survived by her sons, Bill Eberlein (Charlotte) of Twin Falls, Idaho and Fred Eberlein (Annette) of Kirkland, Washington; her daughter, Janis (Cliff) Gordon of Monmouth, Oregon; and her son-in-law, David Osborn of San Diego, California; 8 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
